The entire 2026 team and Youth Ambassador Program Committee will hold an in-person information meeting on November 17th at 7:00pm to share detailed information about the program including:

Plus, there will be an opportunity for questions. This meeting is intended to provide thorough information for both potential candidates and their parents/guardians so that applicants feel they have all the information they need and know if the program is a good fit for them prior to applying. For anyone not comfortable asking questions that night, members of our team will be available anytime to answer questions!
The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the RDEK office in Cranbrook at 19-24 Avenue South (brick building next to hospital).
In-School Information Meeting
Join members of the 2026 team for the final in-school information meeting at Mount Baker prior to the application deadline. The meeting will be held November 19, 2026 at 11:30am (room to be confirmed). Watch for in-school announcements and posters coming soon! Join us to learn more about the program, ask questions and pick up an application package if you haven’t already received one.
Application Deadline
The application deadline for the 2027 program is Monday, November 23, 2026 at 6:00pm. Applications can be completed online or in hard copy.

VOLUNTEERING - Rotary Seniors Dinner
We are so excited to be back volunteering alongside the Cranbrook Rotarians serving hundreds of Cranbrook’s seniors a delicious Christmas dinner. Potential candidates are welcome to join the 2026 team and alumni for this special Cranbrook tradition. Details will be shared with all applicants.
Interviews
As we have a limited number of candidates (6-7) that we can recruit for each program year - based on the number of sponsors we have - interviews are held with all applicants to get to know them better and to help inform the selection process in a more meaningful way than just from the application forms.
About the Interviews:
They are friendly and nothing to fear. This is just the panel’s chance to get to know you better.
There is no studying required or skill testing questions. This is mainly an opportunity to share why you applied and why you would like to be part of the program.
Interviews will be held the afternoon of Sunday, November 29 (times to be confirmed). Applicants will be notified by email by November 25 of their interview time and by December 2 whether they have or have not been selected as a 2027 candidate.
First Meeting with the 2027 team!
The introductory meeting with the 2027 candidate team will be held on Sunday, December 6th at 1:00pm.
At 3:00pm we will ask parents/guardians to join us so that we can have a meeting with both candidates and parents/guardians to go over the Rules & Regulations, program calendar, key dates and program expectations.
The location will be confirmed soon and will be shared with the 2027 candidates in their confirmation emails.
2026 Ambassador Gala
Join us for the 2026 Ambassador Gala in celebration of all seven of our candidates and their accomplishments over the past six months.
2026 Youth Ambassador Showcase
Join us for the 2026 Youth Ambassador Showcase being held at Key City Theatre on Friday, June 19, 2026.
The Showcase provides an opportunity for our candidates to demonstrate the skills they have learned throughout the program. It is an entertaining night filled with speeches, entertainment, and more. Following intermission, there will be awards and the announcement of the 2026 Cranbrook Youth Ambassador Team.
We would love to have a full house in Key City Theatre to cheer them on and show our support for their growth and accomplishments over the past six months.
